24 Hour Adoptathon-09- Quorum Hotel- Tampa : 2nd Annual 24- Hour Adoptathon at the Quroum Hotel, Tampa. 134 dogs united with families, and numbers keep rolling in- we expect final count to be closer to 150, which is TRIPLE last year!!!! Huge thank you to event organizer, Art Fyvolent/Ideas4.com; Connie Johnson/Florida Big Dog Rescue; Quorum Hotel; UDR; IKEA; WAG Boutique; Big Frog; and 25 different rescues and shelters that put enormous effort into preparing for and transporting their precious cargo to the event and then staying up all night, working all day to find great homes for their homeless doggis. We are so amazed and impressed with the animal welfare community, our volunteers, and those that stepped up with media attention and resources. Photos are compliments Little Pet Project, for personal use and use to promote a homeless pet, or promote your non-profit rescue, or participating vendor. Santa Fest 2008-Pit Bulls Welcome! : Santa Fest 2008 Childrens Parade in Ybor City- this year invited Mid Florida PIt Bull Association to participate- this is a monumental moment for pits and those of us who love them- pit bulls in a childrens parade...........imagine that? Well someone did (Crystal- Lisa) and it happened! It was a huge success, people cheered some feared, but overall, the pitties on parade made us all very proud, and even gained some new friends and softened some hearts. Thanks to Krewe Of Ybor for giving us a great view for photos, and all who participated!

Santa Fest 2008-Pit Bulls Welcome!

Angels Paw Wash : Angels Paw Wash, the fundraiser to help our Angel the emaciated pit bull was a huge success! Act, Animal Coalition of Tampa hosted the event at Village Grooming in Tampa this past Sunday- many volunteers worked their butts off, shampooing dogs for 6 hours straight- they raised $1700 for our Angel- great support from the community, and those that helped pull it off- Ashlie Burke of Pitstopbullys.com. Act, Actampa.org; Village Grooming; Crystal Jimenez, Pit Bulls Pounding the Pavement; and PitBullGear.com to name a few- so many other wonderful people came out and supported our girl.

PIt Bulls Pounding The Pavement-11-22-08 : PIt Bulls Pounding The Pavement held 11-23-08 on Bayshore Blvd Tampa- this months parade was dedicated to our Angel- people came from far and wide, people stopped us on the street to hand over money for Angel- TV news crews were there, it was a huge success and raised $593 toward Angels care. Thanks to Pit Bulls Pounding The Pavement and Mid Florida American Pit Bull Terrier Club; PitBullGear.com; PitStopBullys.com; Actampa.org; and so many generous animal loving citizens of our community! Adoptathon : Adoptathon kicked off with a "ribbon cutting" by county Commisioner Rose Ferlita- except instead of ribbon, we used 100+ lbs of actual chains confiscated in cruelty cases, to celebrate "Responsible Pet Ownership Day". Adoptathon found homes for 70% of the dogs that were there.
